Series: Kick of the Gods — the daily-life manga of ANCHORAGE, a kickboxing gym with 4 locations in Fukuoka, Japan.
About this episode: Episode 2, first published in Japanese on June 21, 2014, under the title “Those who can see. Those who can’t.” Ryota introduces his gym buddy Kenta to Lord Brahma — but Kenta can’t see the god at all…

Panel 1
- Brahma: “Nice to meet you!”
- Ryota: “And this is Lord Brahma!”
- Ryota: “This is Kenta, who runs the gym with me!”
Panel 2
- Brahma: “Huh?”
Panel 3
- Brahma: “We’re on a system where you can’t see us without a fair amount of faith!”
- Ryota: “Oh, I forgot to mention—”
- Kenta: “Ryota”
- Brahma: “(We ARE gods, technically.)”
Panel 4
- Ryota: “No!! That’s not it!!”
- Kenta: “Why not rest a little longer?”
- Ryota: “I’m fine, I tell you!!”
- Kenta: “You don’t look healed from the match damage yet…”
Notes
- Brahma: the Hindu god of creation, here drawn with three faces — the second god to appear after Lord Vishnu in Ep. 1.
- Kenta Washizaki: Ryota’s gym buddy, making his first appearance. He can’t see Brahma, so he assumes Ryota is acting strange because of match damage.
- The episode’s Japanese title means “Those who can see. Those who can’t.” — the running gag of the series: the gods are only visible to some people.
